Why Croatia needs a BHAG

Croatia has no public long-term goal or vision that I can think of. Its all fly by the seat of your pants. We are basically as they say kao muha bez glave going from one crisis to another with no plan of action. What it needs is a BHAG!

But, what is a BHAG?

BHAG is a Big Hairy Audacious Goal. The term was introduced in the book Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies.

It is basically a long-term goal that is bold and compelling enough to inspire employees of an organization to take action.

Many of our problems would be solved by totally integrating the dijaspora with the homeland and starting a program promoting return of Croatians, especially from english speaking countries.

This the government cannot achieve, as it is not trusted. Yesterdays scandal with the Minister of Health Vili Beroš proves the fact this government is in no position to promote return of its citizens, many of whom left because of corruption like this.

Like I said in the first post the only way this is most likely to happen is through the Reaspora.

They like to throw the figure of 500000 migrants by 2030 in our face.

Goals should be measureable and time-bound. So I want to double their bluff. Our Vision and goal is that by 2030 we will have 1000000 returnees in Croatia.. or as we call them Reaspora.

OK you will say Im insane. However, I’ve been in this situation now twice before.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

My 3 year target of paying off Melbourne Knights debt was always unrealistic. Everyone was manipulated into talking about it. It was great marketing LOL. However, I’m confident that I would have had it paid off in 5-7 years.

Everyone said I was nuts you can’t pay this off with just one event a year. That was never the plan. We were supposed to create another event for summer called “Sladoled” that would have eventually had outdoor knee deep pools that would serve as kids pools outside the event. Daycare facility for Croatian kids etc. But there was something much bigger I had planned which I never told anyone and thats why I said the club should have 5 million in revenue a year and at least half a million in profit a year.

Dom ramped the first Croktoberfest saying its going to have a couple thousand people. People said we won’t get a couple hundred etc. We only had a several weeks to market and organize it so the 700-800 wasnt a disappointment to me and the following years proved Dom was right. Nearly 20 years on, the show that was never going to succeed still goes on.

OK maybe it was a fluke. Then again with getting HDZ out of Gospić they told us it was impossible, no hope. I basically started the portal scene here that was instrumental to turning the people against them. 3 elections now in a row the narod doesn’t want HDZ running the town. Not only that we got HDZ out of Korenica (the home of Plitvice). There are other stories but I won’t bore you with them now.

You know how effective the COVID counters on website were into scaring us. Im going to have my own counter starting from 1000000. Im going to create a database of all the current returnees in Croatia. Two counters will exist. Ivica Kovac will be that start of one count we are on 999993 now, that is 7 new returnees. My family members that returned and are still alive puts the counter at 999990.

The BHAG….Its all about the marketing… conning millions of Croatians to say Im insane… see you are already thinking it arent you?
